Be aware of who is ringing your doorbell when you are in the garage, attic or even the garden. The Smartwares VD38W Video intercom set makes this possible due to its wireless indoor unit. The indoor unit has an integrated 3,5” color display with which you can always see who is in front of your door. You can even use the integrated microphone to speak with the person ringing the doorbell.

Always feel safe
The outdoor unit is vandal-proof which means you can carefree install it outside. Furthermore the outdoor unit is equipped with a nameplate, doorbell and camera. The video intercom makes sure you know who is in front of your door, before opening the door, this way you keep intruders outside. The camera uses infrared LED’s in order to maintain its visibility even when dark and midnight. If you are not at home and somebody rings the doorbell the system will automatically make a snapshot. You get some extra security, by being always able to have a look at which visitors you have had. The outdoor unit is equipped with an extra security screw that prevents theft.

Wireless with a large range
You can use the outdoor unit with the rechargeable lithium battery and the portable indoor unit with the main power supply or with batteries. The intercom set can be used completely wireless. If your video intercom set is almost out of battery it will sound an alarm to make sure you will recharge it in time, in this way your video intercom set will be always ready to use. The indoor unit has a maximum range of 120 m in open spaces, so you do not have to worry about losing contact. The use of the 2,4GHz signal prevents the video intercom set from interrupting other wireless devices. Besides, up to 100 photos can be stored and the volume of the ringtone is adjustable, so you will never have to miss the doorbell.

Open your door
It is also possible to expand the set with the Smartwares DB5005 or DB5005L electric door opener. Using an electric door opener allows you to not only see who is in front of your door but also let them in from a distance.
