Unlike the silent drive mechanism in the PD-10 AE. As one of the few genuine CD drives, it was developed especially for reliable, low-noise CD sampling and mounted in the centre of a torsion-resistant sheet steel chassis. The large-scale power supply is not off the shelf either, and neither is the converter board featuring the modern AKM-DAC 4482VT with a high-precision clock pulse: a mere ±10ppm deviation from the nominal value. Ideal prerequisites for a precisely focused, natural sound.
